Professional Development Day at MoMath: “Making Multicultural Math”

Monday, January 31
9:30 am to 3:00 pm ET (New York)

(online)

Educators, mark your calendars now for a day of professional development, MoMath style!

Ideas from geometry, algebra, and number theory arise from simple crafts and constructions inspired by early mathematicians around the world.  Over the millennia, from Africa to India to China to Babylon, brilliant minds have contributed to the development of the math we know and teach today.  Join MoMath for some surprising stories, dig deep into the mathematical techniques of different cultures, and come away with activities for the classroom and connections to the diverse groups of people who shaped our favorite subject.

These online workshops, presented by MoMath’s education team, are appropriate for middle and high school math educators (grades 6 through 12).

These are online-only events.  Occasional video recordings are made available for a fee at videos.momath.org.
